I will use data collection and reporting tools often as a teacher. I can use both of these tools for organizational purposes and a way of gaining information for myself. I can use data collection surveys to create surveys that ask my students questions about how confident they feel with their comprehension of material so I can analyze their responses and see if the class seems to be grasping the concepts well enough and decide if I can test them or need to spend more time teaching the curriculum. I think that parent involvement is very important, especially for parents of elementary school students because it is the beginning of their child's educational career. This being said I can also use surveys as a way to get parents input and use their responses to guide my teaching styles. I can use excel to create seating charts that way I can organize my students into table groups that I know will create a successful learning environment by controlling where and by who certain student

A flipped classroom is where students watch prerecorded lectures outside the classroom as homework. Then in the classroom, instead of listening to the teachers lecture, students are doing more hands on work with the lessons they watched outside of the classroom. The section in chapter ten says that this allows for students to form a deeper understanding of material because they first learn the content outside of school and then are able to come into the classroom and actual practice with the content learned with other students with the teacher there to help clarify and guide them with anything they need. I kind of like this concept because it allows for more instructional time to practice material learned which can help a student actually understand what is being taught and not just memorize the material. I do not like this design though because personally it is harder for me to learn from listening to a video on my own, it is easier for me to learn when I have a teacher in fr
